Your EOI can be sent to info@tasproduceco.com.au and should include a CV (max 2 pages) and cover letter addressing your experience in one or more of the key areas noted below, outlining which position you are interested in filling, the skills you will bring and why you want to support and repressent Tasmanian Produce Collective.
Applications will be reiewed by the current Board and shortlisted candidates will be interviewed in late June.

Chair
We are currently seeking to appoint to the position of Board Chair. The Chair will play a pivotal role in guiding the strategic direction of our organisation as we grow and strengthen our impact across Tasmania.
Provide leadership to the Board
Ensuring that governance practices are robust and the board operates in accordance with our values, mission and strategic objectives
Strategic development
Work closely with the board and staff to refine our strategic direction, ensuring alignment with the needs of our producer members and our customers
Advocacy & representation
Serve as an advocate for our mission, actively representing us to government, industry and the wider community to build partnerships and secure support and funding for our initiatives.
Board facilitation
Lead our board meetings, fostering inclusive, informed and productive discussions that lead to consensus and strategic decision-making.
Mentorship & guideance
Provide direction to board members and the staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated culture that builds the capacity of the organisation.
Oversight
Maintain an independent perspective and offer balanced oversight of our operations while aligning with our mission to support strong local food systems for our members and our customers.
About you:
You're a strong advocate with a proven ability to champion causes and build relationships with government, industry & community stakeholders
You have demonstrated an ability to provide direction and facilitate clarity in an organisations ongoing development
You have strong interprersonal skills with the ability to engage and inspire board members, staff & community parterns
You're aligned with our mission and values
You're passionate about local food, sustainable agriculture and healthy communities
You're professional, act with integrity and display emotional intelligence
You're excited to champion The Collective to your networks
You're able to devote a minimum of eight hours a month to the role and commit to attending monthly board meetings online and ad-hoc strategy sessions & events as needed.

Treasurer
We are currently seeking to appoint to the position of Board Treasurer. The Treasurer will contribute to strategic planning and fulfil the following specific obligations:
Keep up-to-date records as well as an audit trail for all transactions
Present regular finacial reports to the Board
Protect our organisation against fraud and theft, ensuring safe custody of money, and prompt banking
Make sure our Board understands its financial obligations
Make sure our organisation complies with tax regulations, such as GST, payroll tax etc
Review all internal processes and reporting methods regularly.

You're background is in finance/accounting or you have a passion for numbers
You appraise things critically and can contribute to strategic planning
You're aligned with our mission and values

Member Directors
We are currently seeking to appoint a number of current Producer Members to our Board. You will contribute to governance, strategic planning and fulfil the following specific obligations:
Drive the ongoing development of TPC’s strategic plan, approve its adoption and
provide leadership and strategic guidance in its implementation
Determine how we will carry our TPC’s mission through planning
Monitor organisational performance against goals and budgets
Ensure proper governance processes are followed with integrity, including financial

We're a Co-operative and our members own and operate The Collective. We are the producers and our mission is to provide Tasmanians access to local, sustainable, values based food - direct from the source.
We envision a strong food system which supports an ecologically sound, economically viable, responsible system of food production with the capacity to improve our environment, as well as the lives of animals and the people who produce and eat food.
